Anonymity Header Matrix

How Proxies Mutate & Expose HTTP Headers

Not all proxies are created equal. When your script sends a request through a proxy server, the proxy decides whether to strip, preserve, or inject header fingerprints. Web firewalls (WAFs) immediately detect and ban scrapers using transparent or semi-anonymous proxies.

Level 1 — Elite / High Anonymity (ProxyCrown Standard)

Leaves zero trace. Headers like Via, X-Forwarded-For, and Proxy-Connection are completely absent. Target servers see a genuine residential user.

Level 2 — Anonymous Proxies

Hides your origin IP, but attaches proxy identifiers (such as Via: 1.1 proxy). Target sites know you are using a proxy and frequently trigger CAPTCHAs.

Level 3 — Transparent Proxies (High Risk)

Passes your real home/office IP directly inside X-Forwarded-For: [Your IP]. Zero anonymity, causing instant blocks and security leaks.

Cybersecurity & Compliance Guide

The 6 Critical Web Security Headers Explained

Hardening your server with these headers prevents data theft, clickjacking, and man-in-the-middle exploits.

Strict-Transport-Security (HSTS)Critical

Forces browsers to only communicate over encrypted HTTPS connections. Eliminates SSL-stripping vulnerabilities where an attacker downgrades traffic to insecure HTTP.

Content-Security-Policy (CSP)Critical

Declares approved origins for executable scripts, fonts, stylesheets, and websocket endpoints. The single most effective mitigation against Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).

X-Frame-OptionsHigh

Instructs browsers whether a page can be rendered inside an <iframe>. Prevents clickjacking where a transparent malicious page tricks users into clicking hidden buttons.

X-Content-Type-OptionsMedium

Set to "nosniff" to forbid browsers from sniffing MIME types away from the declared Content-Type. Protects against executable code disguised as benign images or text.

Referrer-PolicyMedium

Controls how much URL path and query-string data is leaked to external sites in the Referer header. Essential for protecting private customer session tokens in URLs.

Permissions-PolicyMedium

Restricts access to browser hardware features including geolocation, webcam, microphone, accelerometer, and payment APIs, preventing unauthorized third-party script access.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about HTTP headers, proxy leaks, and browser security auditing.

An HTTP Header Checker inspects the invisible metadata headers exchanged between a browser and a web server during an HTTP request. It reveals critical data including HTTP status codes (200, 301, 404, 502), server and CDN identities, caching policies (Cache-Control, ETag), and vital OWASP cyber-security protections (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options).
